The current document which has the status of a Guidance Note was released by the RICS on the 4th February 2014. A new updated version is, I am reliably informed, in the pipeline.

Be a Professional Statement or remain a Guidance Note?
Cover conflicts of interest in procurement of services?
Have more teeth in terms of timescales?
Further promote alternative dispute resolution (ADR)?
Seek to address frivolous claims by unscrupulous tenants and agents?
Aim to prevent landlords or their agents from ignoring legitimate requests to deal with obvious errors?
